Haxx, a multi-energy operator specialising in hydrocarbons trading, strategic storage and energy retail, has announced the appointment of Ricardo García Arenillas as its new Director of People and ESG. This appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to a modern and holistic approach to talent management, as well as to the continuous improvement of best practices in environmental stewardship, social impact and corporate governance, fully aligned with its business strategy.
Ricardo García Arenillas holds a degree in Industrial Organisation Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, an Executive Master’s in Human Resources Management from Garrigues, and has completed an executive development programme at IESE Business School.
After an initial stage of his professional career in process and technology consulting, he decided to redirect his path towards people management, with the aim of contributing to the development of strong organisational cultures and working models aligned with business objectives. Since then, he has built a solid career in senior Human Resources roles across sectors such as retail, financial consulting and higher education.
Throughout his career, he has led talent management review and transformation processes, supporting organisations in contexts of growth and change. His experience spans key areas including culture and leadership, performance management, professional development and employee experience, always with a strong focus on impact — both on people’s development and on organisational results.
“At a time of transformation and growth such as the one Haxx is experiencing, having strong leadership in People and ESG is essential,” said Diego Guardamino, CEO of the company. “Ricardo brings a vision that is closely aligned with the way we understand our business: rigour, real impact and long-term commitment.”
For his part, Ricardo García Arenillas noted: “I am joining Haxx with the challenge of driving a people management model that combines professional development and an enhanced employee experience with organisational growth and business performance, while advancing a practical ESG agenda that is fully embedded in the day-to-day operations of the business.”
The appointment of Ricardo García Arenillas represents a significant boost for Haxx, enabling the company to further evolve its people management model and strengthen its ESG initiatives at a key moment in the pursuit of its business objectives.
